Pranic Soul Yoga School

Pranic Soul was created in 2015 to form an environment for self transformation so the student can access their authentic self as a resource from which to teach yoga and meditation.  

This program is wonderful for anyone that wants to deepen their practice and/or become a yoga teacher.

Minimum of 6 students – Maximum of 11 students

The twelve week teacher training intensive draws from a wide range of intellectual disciplines.  The eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga will offer the student a context from which to explore the form and texture of the ego.  

By the end of the course the student must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Ashtanga Primary Series.  We will explore the eight chakra system, the five sutras of the aquarian age, kriya yoga, mantra, pranayama and meditation. 

We will have many discussions around conscious communication and projection with an introduction to the science of the sound.  The training will also dive into sanskrit names, anatomy and in detail intelligent sequencing of postures for creative and dynamic vinyasa flow classes.

  • Learn to teach anyone and everyone.

  • Gain a practical understanding of the primary series, including their alignment principles, energetic actions, variations, modifications, contra-indications, risks and benefits, enabling you to teach with confidence in a variety of approaches. (including vinyasa flow, alignment-based practice, and specialized styles)

  • Learn functional anatomy that is useful in teaching yoga – how the body is structured, moves and stabilizes.

  • Understand the importance of empathy and compassion when working with students of all levels and intentions.

  • Learn how to plan classes based on clear principles of sequencing.

  • Learn the art of giving hands-on adjustments and other forms of assistance.

  • Develop an appreciation for different styles of yoga and different yoga teaching methodologies.

  • Learn to work with injuries, pregnancy and other specific or unique student needs in your yoga classes.

  • Explore wisdom from ancient yoga traditions and develop a well-rounded knowledge of yoga philosophy, ethics, history and lifestyle practices.

  • Opportunity to practice teach and assist in class for adjustments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Attendance to all training sessions.
  • Timely completion of weekly reading assignments and related research.
  • Participation in weekly discussion sessions, group exercises, and classes.
  • Assist as a student teacher in 5 classes if you plan to teach with your certification.
  • Maintain a 5 day a week practice commitment throughout the twelve-week intensive. Minimum 2 days a week practice Mysore, Kundalini Practice is included on Wednesday group meetings, 2 day a week home practice or Vinyasa Class.
  • Complete a final written exam.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively facilitate a yoga class.
  • Complete a 40 day meditation.
